These are some pretty amazing examples of the Rube Goldberg effect (each followed by a jingle of some sort that gets progressively more annoying after every listen).

In other news, Food Jammers has to be the best cooking show on Canadian TV.

How aboot that, eh?

I'm probably the only person that remembers it, but I miss the Arch Deluxe. It was a fantastic burger.

I've done five versions of this travel collage for work. No approval on this one either, but I did get a few chuckles with having the beach directly in front of the Niagra Falls. Notice the one brave person making his way towards the fall. If it were up to me though, I would do away with the collage idea completely and opt for really nice panoramic shots of different destinations on each page. Simple design. Some people just don't understand the concept.

Speaking of furniture,

I bought BENNO media storage towers from IKEA this weekend.

This is like one of those get-the-same-look-for-less sections in lifestyle magazines (only that the two items shown are only mildly similar).

Forget robots. Soon monkeys will do the work of humans. Monkeys are awesome.

Belle & Sebastian at the Commodore Ballroom on March 24 sold out quickly. Crappy.

How to turn a coworker into a makeshift unicorn.

Mr.JPG: how's life in the new office
Jay: this is the most wonderful place in the world
Jay: the only thing its missing are unicorns
Mr.JPG: get an ice cream cone and place that in kelvin's head. then you should find one after
Jay: haha
Jay: it'd have to have ice cream too for it to work
Mr.JPG: sorry. then it will over budget.
Jay: I'll just use tape
Mr.JPG: what is unicorn doing now
Jay: drinking coffee
Jay: they can't go a day without coffee
Jay: even if it's only decaf
Jay: unicorns just like the taste

A new year, a new hobby.

I've decided to collect those plastic grass garnishes that you find in Japanese entrées. My goal is to line my cubicle with them to create the illusion that I'm in a field. I will most likely forget to take the garnishes while dining in Japanese restaurants and only do it when I get takeout to eat at my desk so it will be slow going.

No comments for you!

I've removed all comments on this page because all I'm getting are ads and one person that can see right through me and offer deep, earth shattering observations like:

"Still looking for stupid quirky shit to make up for you being so uninteresting huh?
Good luck with that."

The sad part is, the dude is probably onto something worthy of a thesis or a television news magazine segment on the boring lives behind "quirky" blogs. However, even if I'm using this strictly as a means to compensate for something (much like a fancy car or huge biceps) so what? It's effing fun so thanks for the words of encouragement and lets leave it at that chief.

Materials used to craft the makeshift grappling hook below: model airplane, shoe string, tape

This is evidence that the person that used to dwell in my new cubicle had way too much fun at work.

Now I can roll up paper clips, whales, city blocks, etc. on the flight home.

I just picked up a copy of Katamari Damacy for the PSP in Hong Kong. It even has an english instruction pamphlet. Wooptydoo.

Tapas in. Poo out.

When in Barcelona, eat tapas here. The place is very tourist friendly, but is by no means a tourist trap. The food is delightful, but it can be muchos expensive due to getting carried away and ordering a few too many.
